About Joon Hong

Prior to joining Claggett & Sykes Law Firm as a partner, Joonho “Joon” Hong worked at a large New York based law firm with a national presence. He has been representing and continues to represent people who have been catastrophically injured as a result of doctors’ negligence (a/k/a medical malpractice), dangerous worksite conditions (a/k/a construction site accidents), negligent drivers (a/k/a motor vehicle accidents), dangerous property conditions (a/k/a premises liability), dangerous products (a/k/a products liability), and neglect of the elderly at nursing homes (a/k/a elder abuse or nursing home litigation).

Joon is not the typical lawyer. He possesses a unique background having worked in the theater and music industry. During his time in this field, he developed his performance and public speaking skills while working with successful recording artists and Grammy Award winning producers. He is also a true advocate and warrior for his clients.

Joon is a direct descendant of Grandmaster Hwang Kee, the founder of one of the most important and influential figures in Korean martial arts – Tang Soo Do. Joon not only practiced the physical aspects of martial arts but practiced the mental and spiritual aspects as well. His training helped him develop a true warrior spirit from a very young age. He has applied these skills and characteristics in his legal practice and in the courtroom and has recovered tens of millions of dollars for his clients.

Joon also serves as a coach, consultant, and teacher to trial attorneys across the country. In this role, Joon serves plaintiffs’ trial lawyers and criminal defense attorneys by helping them become the best trial lawyers and human beings they can be so they can better serve their respective clients.
