About Rudy Hernandez Camacho
Rudy Hernandez Camacho is an Associate Litigation Attorney at Claggett & Sykes Trial Lawyers. Rudy was born and raised in Reno, Nevada. He attended the University of Nevada, Reno, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. Before moving to Las Vegas for law school, Rudy worked full-time as a truck driver while also completing his undergrad. He also worked in roofing on the weekends with his dad since he was a young teen. Rudy is the proud son of immigrants from Mexico and is the first in his family to obtain a college and post-grad degree.
Rudy attended the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV, where he graduated with Highest Pro Bono Honors and received the Dean’s Award for his involvement in the community and the law school. While in law school, Rudy was the President of La Voz, the Latino Law Student Association, where he led the nationally recognized Huellas Mentorship Program and was successfully able to expand the program to Northern Nevada. Rudy also served as the Vice President of the Immigrant Rights Coalition, where he committed over 150 hours of volunteering and pro bono work to serve the Las Vegas immigrant community. Rudy was also a student attorney at the UNLV Immigration Clinic for three semesters where he represented clients in removal defense and children in Special Immigrant Juvenile Status proceedings. Rudy started working at Claggett & Sykes Trial Lawyers in 2023 as a law clerk.
In his free time, Rudy enjoys watching/playing soccer, riding horses, caring for his very needy dogs, and spending time with family.
