About David Creasy

David Creasy is a Partner at Claggett & Sykes Trial Lawyers. Mr. Creasy was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina and raised along the East Coast. In 1994 he received his Bachelor's Degree in History and Political Science from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. In 1997, Mr. Creasy graduated from the University of Notre Dame School of Law and moved to Salt Lake City, Utah to begin his legal career with an insurance defense firm.

Mr. Creasy received invaluable experience in learning and understanding how insurance companies work and operate in evaluating claims and litigating cases. It was in Salt Lake City that Mr. Creasy first began working on medical malpractice cases, professional liability claims and significant personal injury claims. In 1998, Mr. Creasy moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and began working with the firm Beckley Singleton in the Appellate Division. Mr. Creasy gained valuable experience in appellate practice while working with attorneys who many consider to be the best appellate lawyers in the State of Nevada.

In 1999, Mr. Creasy joined The Gage Law Firm's predecessor firm and for the first time began working on the Plaintiff side. Mr. Creasy immediately recognized the difficulties injured victims face when dealing with large insurance companies and corporations and having worked on the defense side, he knew that firm and aggressive action was the best way to bring about appropriate relief for the injured victim. He quickly became involved in working on large complex products liability cases, medical malpractice cases and auto accident cases involving serious personal injury. In 2002, Mr. Creasy was recruited to become in-house counsel for the insurance company Zurich North America and asked to assist in opening an office in Reno, Nevada. While Mr. Creasy enjoyed his time in Reno working for Zurich, he found his true passion to be representing and helping people who had been injured through other's negligence. He returned to The Gage Law Firm, PLLC after 2½ years so that he could resume his efforts helping injured victims of auto accidents, medical malpractice, nursing home neglect and product defects.

Mr. Creasy devotes his practice almost exclusively to helping injured victims in Nevada. While most of his practice is focused in the Las Vegas area, Mr. Creasy has represented clients in a variety of cities and towns in Nevada including Ely, Elko, Pahrump, Fallon, Yerington, Reno, Carson City and Minden. Mr. Creasy understands the pain and anguish victims experience due to other's negligence and provides close hands on and personal attention to each case to help alleviate the fears and anxiety clients experience as they go through the legal system. Mr. Creasy has settled hundreds of cases without the need for litigation but has the experience and knowledge to file suit and aggressively move a case to trial in the event that a settlement is not possible. Mr. Creasy has served as lead trial counsel in several medical malpractice cases including a January 2019 $48,630,000 jury verdict against a local hospital and a January 2018 $2,875,000 jury verdict against a local doctor and urgent care.

Mr. Creasy is married and has five children. He is actively involved in his community, children's school and his church. Mr. Creasy enjoys spending time with his wife and children, is an avid college football fan, and enjoys running and playing golf.
